After being reborn, the academically weak Xie Banhui joins forces with the academically mediocre Xie Banhui and becomes a well-rounded young man with strong moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and practical skills.

Blurb for the new story <Marriage Alliance>: It starts in mid-November.

The Tan and Gu families are arranging a marriage alliance, but the Tan family's daughter is already pregnant with another man's child. Their happy occasion is about to turn into a disaster.

Then someone reminds the head of the Tan family: "Don't you have another daughter?"

And so Tan Chuxin, the illegitimate daughter the Tan family raised outside the household, is brought in at the last minute to take her sister's place and marry Gu Ziang, the third son of the Gu family.

On their wedding night, Gu Ziang doesn't come home.

The next night, Gu Ziang doesn't come home either.

When he is expected to visit his wife's family three days later, Gu Ziang is dragged out of a lover's embrace, sporting a conspicuous lipstick mark on his neck.

Tan Chuxin is gracious and saves face, leaning affectionately against Gu Ziang and taking all the teasing and jokes in stride.

Back home that day, Tan Chuxin has a serious talk with Gu Ziang. "I know you have a first love, and I'm not the one you wanted to marry. Our marriage will last a year. After that, we'll publicly say we're splitting up because we're incompatible." She finishes, then frowns at the man across from her, her "husband," who fails to satisfy her in every way. "What do you think?"

Gu Ziang taps his fingers on the table, looking pleased. "Agreed."

And then...

During their year of marriage, Gu Ziang sees his wife three times in total.

Their wedding anniversary is the day their one-year contract expires.

To convince both sets of parents that their marriage really is beyond saving, the two have a huge argument, then happily go and get divorced.

A friend throws Gu Ziang a bachelor party and asks him, "How was being married?"

"I didn't feel anything."

"What about getting divorced? You must be thrilled."

"I didn't feel anything."

His friend teases him. "Come on, don't pretend."

Gu Ziang tells the truth. "I never even held my wife's hand. What was I supposed to feel?"

His friend stares at him in shock. "You mean you don't even remember what your wife... no, your ex-wife looks like?"

"..." Not quite. Her lips were pretty soft.

His friend takes out his phone and pulls up a post. "Look, free from the misery of being with you, your ex-wife is already celebrating her freedom."

Tan Chuxin beams brightly in the photo.

Gu Ziang takes out his own phone and scrolls through it, only to discover... his ex-wife has blocked him.

Gu Ziang feels a little unsettled. He knows he's a jerk, but he never expected to meet someone even cooler than himself.

Tan Chuxin keeps three things in mind: she's the Tan family's illegitimate daughter; marrying Gu Ziang was the Gu family's second choice; and Gu Ziang doesn't love her.

So... to hell with it.

During their year of marriage, Tan Chuxin is grateful to Gu Ziang for leaving her "untouched."

During their year of marriage, she fills a little notebook in her heart with Gu Ziang's "crimes."
