Douluo Dalu: Lingyue's Iridescent Robes Reflect Naitong

Nana-Tong fan fiction: Gu Yuena (Gu Yue) and Tang Wutong (Wang Dong)

Silver Dragon King Gu Yuena healed her injuries ahead of schedule during the second Douluo era. To learn about humans and their knowledge, she decides to disguise herself as a boy, take the name Gu Yue, and study at Shrek Academy. There, she meets Tang Wutong, who is also disguised as a boy and goes by the name Wang Dong.

After the daughter of the God King, Tang Wutong, has her memories sealed, she descends to the mortal world on a mission to cultivate. She tells others that she is the young sect master of the Clear Sky Sect. Before entering Shrek Academy, she disguises herself as a boy and takes the name Wang Dong. There, she meets Gu Yuena, who is also disguised as a boy and goes by the name Gu Yue.

How should I put this? This story is sort of a girls' love story, but also sort of isn't. It should probably be romance, but I started writing it because I ship Gu Yuena and Tang Wutong as a GL couple. The cover is also a picture of the two of them together, so I put it in the GL section.

Besides, most of the time both of them are disguised as boys, and each thinks the other is a boy. To sum up: to outsiders, it's BL; to each other, it's BG; in reality, it's GL.

I've also made up that the Dragon God can freely change between male and female. Gu Yuena can't do that yet, but she will once she becomes the Dragon God. Of course, that won't happen until the ending. Will I even manage to finish this? (bitter laugh)

P.S. Wang Qiu'er isn't in this story. The author really dislikes her. If you like Wang Qiu'er, you can leave. I can't be bothered to write a story just to bash her, so I deleted her instead. The Auspicious Beast is in the story, but she won't be the same backstabbing soul beast from the second Douluo era, a traitor who abandoned her kind for a man.

I might weaken Tang San, otherwise the story really can't go anywhere. (Tang San doesn't have much of a role, anyway.)

There are tons of headcanons in this story, especially for the two main characters, and many things are different from the original. My headcanon is that Gu Yuena was the Dragon God all along, but a villain stole her identity many years ago. After she transmigrated to the cultivation world, successfully passed her tribulation, and was about to ascend, she was sent back to Douluo Dalu, just as the previous Asura God struck down the Dragon God. She happened to reclaim the Silver Dragon King's share of the power, while the villain took the Golden Dragon King's share. The gods then beat the villain into a weakened state and sealed him in the divine realm. Gu Yuena was clever enough to slip away while the Golden Dragon King was under attack from everyone.

Tang Wutong also has a bunch of headcanons. In her previous life, she was the Dragon God's lover. Also, the author doesn't want to deal with so many names, so she is called Tang Wutong when she descends to the mortal world. When she disguises herself as a boy to attend Shrek Academy, she goes by Wang Dong. The name Wang Dong'er is skipped.

A lot of things differ from the original. (I cried when the author kept changing the setting from one book to the next, so I decided to let loose and stop following those settings entirely.)

There are tons of typos and bugs. I haven't edited this story at all (sigh), and the writing is at an elementary-school level.

P.S. This story is completely set in a parallel world to the original. A few characters are reborn or have transmigrated, and there are lots of original characters.

Main characters: Silver Dragon King and ruler of the soul beasts, Gu Yuena (Gu Yue); Tang Wutong (Wang Dong), daughter of the God King and Goddess of Light.

Supporting characters: Xiao Xiao, who thinks she's the happiest person alive and spends every day shipping couples; Jiang Nannan and Xu Sanshi, who were reborn and changed their fates; Beibei, who transmigrated from another world; Tang Ya, who, unlike her counterpart in the original, has living parents and is also gifted; and the bewildered He Caitou (Xu He).
