The Desire in My Heart

Shaoyin and Mu Changzhou never got along when they were young. She was proud and refined, while he was a man of few words. In the rare times they met, she would merely follow others in greeting him with cool courtesy: “Second Brother Mu.” At seventeen, he passed the highest imperial examination and became famous in both capitals. At the Qujiang banquet, countless powerful families wanted him as a son-in-law. Even her father considered arranging a match between them. Shaoyin took one distant look at the pale, scholarly figure at the center of the crowd and shook her head. “He and I are not cut from the same cloth.” After that, they went their separate ways and never crossed paths again. She assumed each of them had a bright future ahead... Who could have imagined that when they met again years later, neither would be anything like they had been before? And even less could she have imagined that one day she would call him “Erlang” with such tender affection~ “Are we cut from the same cloth now?” Childhood friends, an unexpected match; marriage first, love later [A heroine who hides her true abilities × a hero who turns dark but never mad] Of all the world's bitterness, only you are the sweetness at my heart. P.S. Set in an imagined Tang dynasty. The world is as described; nitpicking and demands for historical accuracy are unwelcome. Weibo: @Tian Ruyu New story coming soon: A Night Without End.
