Later, the adorable hatchling changed its fate under its male parent's protection, awakened a powerful psychic talent, and was confirmed to share half of Selius's bloodline.
Later still, his female insect adjutant, a comrade from his past life and his closest friend in this one, showed up with all of his assets. The little male insect perched on Selius's shoulder lifted his head and called out in a clear, sweet voice, “Female parent.”
