A short piece, just a dream I wanted to write down.
An alternate-universe setting.
I haven't decided which version to write yet.
One version is about a sickly, beautiful spirit on the receiving end and a sunny young master on the giving end, as seen in a dream.
In this version, Luoyang's twisted older brothers, after he has visited Lin Yue Lake several times, secretly follow him there while he is away on a trip and discover Huo Bian. The spirit is not accepted by the world, and by the time Luoyang returns, Huo Bian has already been humiliated in all sorts of ways. And then... well, that would be a spoiler, haha. (They've only been with each other, and you'll find out why when I start writing.)
But I feel like strict fans of stories where both leads have only been with each other might not accept this version once I actually write it. It has a bit of that certain flower's vibe? Not sure how many people would be into it.
Version two is about a glamorous, seductive emperor on the receiving end and a taciturn general on the giving end.
A stoic general who doesn't ask to stay together forever, only for peace and prosperity, and an alluring emperor who is always trying to seduce the general and get him to top.
Let's leave the first chapter as it is for now. I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on which story I should write. Personally, I'm leaning toward starting over with the second one. The leads had other names, too, but I already have too many books on my to-read list. orz

I actually really like the pairing of Cen Luoyang and Huo Bian, and I really hope they have a happy ending?
