How Am I Supposed to Survive as the Heroine of an Angsty Novel?

Jin Xiu transmigrated into a book. The good news was that she'd become the female lead. The bad news was that it was an angst novel... ++++ When the original protagonist awakened and ran away, the book spirit responsible for maintaining the plot took the form of a System and dragged her in to fill the gap. As the unlucky soul selected for the job, Jin Xiu had to follow the original plot to the end. Her reward would be the angst points she earned. Each point could be exchanged for ten thousand in the book's world or one thousand in the real world. She could spend them as she earned them or save them up to take with her at the end. This was too tempting for Jin Xiu, who was broke in both worlds. She practically couldn't wait to sign her life away. +++++ The System's first task was to save a beauty in distress. Jin Xiu was the hero, and the male lead was the beauty. [At the start of this angst novel, the male lead is being hunted. You need to happen by and take a knife for him, leaving a deep impression and setting the two of you on the path to your fateful meeting.] Jin Xiu was afraid of pain, so she instinctively dodged when the knife came at her. The person who was supposed to get stabbed did get stabbed, right in the kidney. The System panicked and shrieked at her, scolding her for fleeing in the face of danger and playing dirty. Did she even want to earn angst points and exchange them for spending money?! Jin Xiu was about to admit her mistake when the evaluation program honestly went ding: [Angst +1] System: ??? Jin Xiu: o(^▽^)o Well, well, a whole new world had just opened up to her. ++++++ Using all sorts of outrageous tricks, like switching roles and transferring damage, Jin Xiu earned points all the way until the plot was nearly over. At last, she was about to reap a huge reward. Then the System suddenly discovered something earth-shattering. [Ahhh! Host, we got the male lead wrong!] Jin Xiu: You're telling me this after I've already finished all the tasks? Do you still get angst points for getting it wrong? I may not have read much, but don't try to fool me! The impostor: Me, the male lead from the novel next door (≧▽≦) Coming next: The Male Lead Always Wants to Marry Me [Quick Transmigration] Rong Zhen died unexpectedly and bonded with a brand-new little System. As a newbie, she and the System couldn't get their hands on any good tasks, so they could only play bit parts in novel worlds that everyone else had rejected. But it turned out that even a bit part wasn't so easy to play. *In an Eighties novel, she was the supporting male character's ex-wife, divorced and kicked out of the house for failing to bear a son. When she fell into the water, the male lead, newly returned from overseas, rescued her and insisted on taking responsibility for her. Plot over. *In a dating-variety-show novel, she was a fake heiress who looked down on the poor and got publicly humiliated, a washed-up nobody whom even cats and dogs disliked and no one paid attention to. Who could have guessed that the male lead, a famous actor, would suddenly appear and propose to her on the spot? Plot over. *In an urban-legend novel, she was an unlucky cat monster who would inevitably be exterminated once her tail grew in. The powerful male lead caught her and kept her as a pet, eventually putting her on his household registration. Plot over. *In a post-apocalyptic disaster novel, she was a lowly tool who handed over a golden finger at the start. The cold-blooded male lead discovered her secret and took both her and her treasure, then made her warm his bed. Plot over. *In an interstellar competition novel, she was a delicate young lady whose villainous mother had pulled strings to get her onto the team. After mistaking someone for another person, she joined the protagonists' team. As soon as the competition was over, the scheming male lead dragged her off to register their marriage. Plot over. +... After several worlds' plots fell apart one after another, even the little System, just awakened from hibernation, was stunned. Rong Zhen was at a loss too. Every time, she tried hard not to break character and did her best to complete her tasks. So why did all those male leads keep going off-script and trying to marry her? Notes: 1. A sweet, doting romance. The female lead has a “male leads fall in love at first sight with her” aura. 2. Each world is 1v1, with both leads romantically inexperienced. The male lead is different in each world. 3. Draft completed in September, writing begins in October. Theme: Self-respect, self-love, and self-reliance.
