Story blurb:

[Wily, laid-back older-sister artist × lazy writer with a few tricks up her sleeve]

The famous genius painter Xia Shuang is holding another exhibition!

This time, however, her paintings have a rather different style. Seven or eight out of ten are cat-related, even though people remember that Xia Shuang doesn't like cats.

Xia Shuang calmly accepts everyone's praise, nodding now and then, her emotions unchanged from before.

A reporter finally manages to get an interview and asks, "Miss Xia, why did you choose cats as the theme this time?"

Xia Shuang: "Inspiration."

After trying every other angle, the reporter changes the subject. "Then... do you know when Dongyang's new book will be published? She seems to have been quiet for a few months."

At that, a flicker crosses Xia Shuang's cold eyes. "How would I know anything about her?"

The reporter is speechless. Aren't you two rumored to be living together...?

Meanwhile, the orange cat curled up at Xia Shuang's home sneezes, then lazily settles back down to sleep.

Q: What should you do if you turn into a big orange cat after breaking up with your ex, only to be taken home by her?

He Dongyang licks her fluffy paws. "Obviously, make her wait on me every waking moment, and make sure she stamps her adorable little paw prints on her masterpieces."

Q: What should you do if you discover that the big orange cat in your home is your ex, and she keeps getting revenge on you?

Xia Shuang pins the cat's head down with one hand. "Shave all her fur off."

A woman and a cat stare at each other, both on guard.

Theme: Mending a broken relationship takes effort from both people.
