Why Not Play at Raising an Empress?

Tang Xianhui was separated from her parents when she was young and became a little palace maid in the harem of the Great Jin dynasty.

When Xianhui served in Yaohua Palace, Lady Pei looked after her.

When Xianhui became the Princess Consort in Prince Chu's residence, Consort Pei still looked after her.

When Xianhui became empress, Empress Dowager Pei, the late emperor's wife, said, "Of course Xianhui deserves it all."

When Empress Dowager Zhaoxuan was thirty, all she could remember was that year in Yaohua Hall, when Lady Pei had smiled at her and said, "Our Xianhui is the most adorable."

In Pei Tanyun's life, her second greatest regret was that her husband died before she could become empress dowager.

Her greatest regret was that she had failed to get along with the future empress when that woman was still her maid.

Given another chance, she decided that palace intrigues were pointless.

Why not have some fun raising an empress instead?

Not a baihe romance.

Two female leads.

An old-school, unconventional palace-intrigue story.

Set in an alternate Eastern Jin dynasty. Everything is determined by what the author feels like, so if anything seems familiar, you've probably read too much Jin history.
