A notice about the recent suspension of updates: I have to write my graduation thesis and take two exams soon, so I'm very short on time. After discussing it with friends in the group, I especially feel that this story is rather mediocre as written, so I plan to make major changes and rewrite the whole thing. I'll resume updates once it's ready. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this causes T_T But I promise that this, my first serialized story on Jinjiang, will not be abandoned, even though I really do write slowly, sigh. Words can be terrifying. Character introductions Haitang: Leader of the Jieshen Sect. Her childhood taught her to be strong. For the first half of her life, she lived only for revenge, which made her an outcast in the martial world. Stubborn and arrogant, she is really just a little girl beneath her witch's disguise, innocent and kind. Lin Yuesheng: Dashing, flirtatious, warm-hearted, and always pursuing women. He recovers from emotional setbacks with remarkable speed. He's clever and learns anything at a glance, but apart from chasing women, he doesn't put his heart into anything. Shan Xianyi: Cold and aloof, with no interest in women. Extremely stubborn, he bears everything alone, no matter what happens. He has gone to great lengths for Haitang. Shen Yinli: The sworn younger brother of Haitang's stepfather, and her uncle in name. Mature, steady, and understanding, he excels at the zither, chess, calligraphy, and painting. After losing his beloved wife, he grew despondent, until he met Zhu Rouyu. Zhu Rouyu: Gentle, virtuous, especially skilled at needlework, and quietly comforting. Bai Jingshang: Ruthless and unscrupulous, with a strong streak of aggression and possessiveness. Meisuya: An Indian woman who looks remarkably like Haitang. She is engaged to Gu Er, the left envoy of the Jieshen Sect. Her origins are mysterious. Lou Mengke: Charming and adorable, but also prone to the tantrums of a spoiled young lady. Appendix:
