The Black Lotus’s Transmigration Handbook

Jiang Caiwei transmigrated into the body of an unpopular palace consort who was also frail and sickly. Luckily, the System told her that if she became a black lotus in the palace, her value would keep increasing, and the better it got, the healthier her body would become. Jiang Caiwei: Fine, I can play myself! As she tore into the scheming women in the palace, she kept running into the emperor. She even accidentally fell into his arms. Emperor Xiao Yi of Tianqi held the beauty by her soft waist and thought, Is this woman trying to get my attention? How could he ever like a woman like that? So he let go, and the beauty fell straight to the ground. - Later, when Jiang Caiwei accidentally fell into his arms again, Xiao Yi carried her to her bedchamber, worriedly tended her foot, and rubbed on medicine. Then he laid a large hand over her belly and fretted: Why hasn't the little prince arrived when I've been trying so hard? #The more I hated her at first, the more I'll love her later!# #I'll offer you the throne myself, my dear. Could you love me just a little more?# But the black lotus only smiled disdainfully. "I don't want it. What I want is to be the Empress Dowager!" Xiao Yi: "..." * A little extra: System: [Ding! Random mission: secretly kiss the emperor. Black Lotus value +1.] The first time Jiang Caiwei had to kiss him to complete a mission, she leaned down and did it. Xiao Yi woke up soon after and stared at her with icy eyes. VS Later, when the System assigned another kissing mission, Jiang Caiwei's Black Lotus value had soared so high that she couldn't be bothered with such a random task. But in the dead of night, Xiao Yi tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Miserably, he thought, "Why hasn't she come over to kiss me yet?" Reading Guide: 1. Neither lead is sexually inexperienced. Looking for a chaste romance? This one isn't for you. 2. The heroine is scheming and doesn't fall in love easily. She's a true black lotus. 3. The male lead will get his comeuppance later. He'll dismiss his harem and want only to spend his life with the heroine, but she still won't love him. All she cares about is palace intrigue and raising her Black Lotus value so she can become the Empress Dowager. 4. I gave plenty of warnings. Anyone who still complains will get a baldness warning! Besides, the Qing dynasty is long gone! (Weibo post dated 2020.8.21, screenshot saved.) Theme: Don't be a clinging vine. Become a black lotus and stand on your own.
