From the start, things were bizarre: the sun was gone.
That’s right, the sun was gone.
In the year 3338, humanity cracked the secret of higher dimensions and unlocked the conditions for leaping through time. Traveling back to the past through these leaps became the ideal utopia for humanity in the apocalypse.
But Xie Ling had it rough. He was a major general, yet worked without a day off, diligently jumping back and forth across all kinds of timelines. Then one of his dimwitted subordinates offended their superior, forcing Xie Ling to take a demotion and go on another business trip.
This time, more than a thousand years in the past, he met an archaeologist named Lin An. But then, in a stroke of terrible luck, he ran into a talking parrot with a silver tongue. It became the biggest obstacle in Xie Ling’s journey to his “utopia.” The parrot regularly annoyed him half to death, but gradually Xie Ling began spouting witty one-liners, came out of his shell, and saw the beauty in the world.
Reader's Guide:
* A taciturn top with a knack for quotable one-liners x a kindhearted, incredibly strong archaeologist bottom
* This isn’t especially hard-core sci-fi. Almost all the worldbuilding is stuff I made up.
* Daily updates at first, then probably a steady weekly schedule.
* Writing a blurb is so hard, sob.
* The ideas about time are based on the film In Time. Apologies, and please contact me if you’d like it taken down.
Message: May hope never perish in the darkness, but instead flourish in the depths of despair.
