A Beta: barely sensitive to pheromones, with a weakened reproductive system, perfectly balanced in every way, completely independent and impossible to bind, never controlled by their instincts and never losing control due to physical urges.
Even if a top-tier Alpha sets their sights on them, they will always be free.
Su Yi, a top student and Beta at an imperial high school, suddenly discovers one day that he is living in an abandoned ABO story. The original protagonists were two Alpha rivals, but one of them was supposed to turn into an Omega, and the story was supposed to end happily.
As for the name Su Yi, it had appeared only on their competition roster.
As a mere background character in a story with no setting of his own, Su Yi starts making the most of life.
Only places the protagonists visit become real, and since he doesn't want to get involved with Alphas, he sets his sights on You Mian, the fake Alpha who is destined to become an Omega and is part of the story's original pairing. He showers him with concern and care, encouraging him to go abroad and embrace the world.
You Mian: What exactly are you trying to do?
Su Yi, facing this delicate future Omega with a worried look: Don't ask so many questions. Come on, put on your uniform jacket before you catch a cold! You're the hope of the future, classmate!
You Mian: ...
You Mian pulled the jacket over his head and left.
Su Yi: As expected of an Omega, he's pretty considerate. I'm cold too, but my character setting didn't give me a jacket. This is infuriating.
An Alpha classmate passing by: Hey, keep that jacket away from me! Who's marking their territory with pheromones all over it?
At first, Su Yi wasn't worried. You Mian would turn into an Omega eventually, so him spraying pheromones all over Su Yi and scaring off every other Alpha didn't seem like a big deal.
But then one month, two months, three months went by...
You Mian still hadn't started dating his partner!
You Mian still hadn't turned into an Omega!
His partner had turned into an Omega instead?!
At last, Su Yi realized that he had... been rooting for the wrong pairing.
Brooding, sickly-looking pretty-boy Alpha: You Mian
