# A gorgeous troublemaker with a rebellious streak vs. a lovestruck, hardheaded man who’ll fight to the death for love. #
Wanhe Town lies in a corner of Jiangnan. It is prosperous, its people live well, and its customs are open-minded. Even the local toughs are handsome and dignified.
It was the depth of winter when a party of carriages arrived in Wanhe Town and went straight to the grandest mansion in town.
Watching the boxes of belongings being carried in, everyone began to chatter. This was the bearing of a wealthy household!
On a bright spring day, Zhao Zhi leaned against a tree with a blade of grass in his mouth. He had no interest in the stern, old-fashioned, fabulously wealthy female head of the household. He had his eye on the stewardess!
A pretty face, and an even prettier figure. It would be worth losing ten years off his life to marry her!
Ni Ying smiled. “That can be arranged.”
A delightful surprise had fallen from the sky: they were in love with each other!
She looked delicate and precious, so Zhao Zhi began saving up for their future together.
She looked like she had a long road ahead, so Zhao Zhi began improving himself and working his way up.
She looked as though she loved him dearly, so Zhao Zhi wanted to hand her his very life.
She looked incredibly popular, so Zhao Zhi...
At a time like this, who cared about the rules of the martial world!
He cried, “Ow!” and fell in front of her traveling carriage, pointing at the alluring, ravishing stewardess. “I’ve broken a leg. You can make it up to me by giving me her!”
Ni Ying quietly watched the man making a scene, then curled her lips into a smile. “All right.”
She drew a guard’s saber and held it against the base of his leg. “Since you’re offering this leg in exchange for me, please remove it and send it to our head of household.”
Zhao Zhi looked at the wicked woman and gritted his teeth. “You didn’t talk like this when we were together. Are you serious?”
Later, an imperial decree came. The stewardess changed into fine silks and splendid clothes, then departed in the most luxurious carriage.
People of the time said, “A noble consort becomes a princess, and the emperor becomes her elder brother. How strange!”
She looked so far out of reach, so...
Zhao Zhi began striving to get ahead. He rose from local tough to chief minister of the court, getting whatever he wanted and commanding the winds and rain.
The civil and military officials could bear it no longer. “Outrageous! This is corruption!”
The regent princess asked, “Any objections?”
The civil and military officials said, “...We wish you a hundred years of happiness together!”
The young chief minister of the court said, “Wife, come cuddle.”
---New story coming soon: The Beauty Portrait, see my author page---
Before marrying into the Prince of Xiang’s household, Wen Zhi had met Xiao Yiqiu only three times.
The first time was when she had gone to Shuiyun Abbey on her master’s orders to deliver scriptures. Caught in a storm on the arduous journey, she took shelter beneath a rocky overhang. She was a young Taoist nun praying and cultivating herself; he was the Seventh Prince, who had left the secular world to become a monk at the emperor’s behest. He warned her that the rain would blow into the spot where she stood, then, observing proper etiquette, invited her to take shelter with him.
The second time was after she returned to the capital, on a path she had taken while fleeing a banquet where everything had changed. She was an orphan with no one to rely on, while he was a prince restored to wealth and glory. Beneath the moonlight, the man pointed out a small building nearby and told her it was quiet and no one would disturb her there.
The third time was at a private banquet where no one could interrupt them. He placed the imperial decree arranging their marriage before her. With an air of detachment, he spoke in an insincere, perfunctory tone: “It is my honor to marry the most beautiful woman in the capital.”
Wen Zhi had always thought Xiao Yiqiu married her to dispel suspicions that he was involved in factional politics, so he could live as an idle prince without worldly desires.
She was grateful to him and respected him. Carefully, under the protection he could offer, she took cautious steps forward, never daring to cause him the slightest trouble and always thinking of how she might repay his kindness.
Until one day, she found a painting in his study: a mountain forest in the rain, and a helpless girl like a fledgling.
It depicted what she had done on the day they first met: she had spotted a fledgling fallen from its nest in the mountains, then climbed over rocks and branches to return it.
The woman in the painting was her, and yet not her.
At the very least, her hair could never have been that disheveled, and her collar could never have been so loose that it was about to slip off her shoulder!
And what decent young woman would wear a skirt without underpants, with the slit reaching all the way to her upper thigh?
The entire painting radiated an outrageous, erotic air. It was clearly a man’s wicked fantasy!
Wen Zhi’s heart raced. As she stepped back, she bumped into a hard chest.
She spun around in a panic, clutching the painting behind her.
In that moment, the man’s desire broke free like a caged beast and rushed at her without restraint.
He reached behind her, pulling her and the painting into his arms. “So you saw it. Why hide it?”
Content warnings:
1. This is a fictional setting with a wild mix of influences and countless original worldbuilding details. Everything is made up, all of it. If you have questions, it’s all made up.
2. The heroine is very powerful, the kind of powerful who could make even the strongest Mary Sue fall to her knees. She’s a career-obsessed maniac, though she usually takes the long view.
3. The leads are each other’s first and only partners, but they have loose ideas about chastity and sometimes put on an act for appearances.
4. There’s a bit of a female ensemble cast.

Theme: Your identity is not the only measure of your life.
After reading the text, I thought at first that the emperor had broken his promise and wanted to rob him by force, but the heroine succeeded in killing him and replaced the Cui family as the emperor. Later I found this story very interesting. The family feud routine is mixed with the grudges of the previous generation. Of course the enemy is not the old emperor. However, the old emperor was ungrateful and wanted to take advantage of her by force, giving other people an opportunity to take advantage of her. As a result, the heroine's parents died, and she was labeled as a counterexample by her family. In the end, the old emperor thought it was true and told her life story, as if he was letting someone go or making amends after the fact. The heroine was choked like a fish. How could she have a good impression of his heir? The emperor actually had a good hand and forced himself into a dead end. The heroine came to the emperor simply because she wanted to avenge her parents. The emperor only looked at others and never thought about what he had that deserved the heroine's love. Ever since he took in the heroine's cousin, he has not been included in the heroine's choice. The second position was the last chance given to him by the heroine. He always felt that once he became emperor, he had the final say in the world. The question was why others should act according to his script. He was worried about the female protagonist gaining power. The problem was that he had never thought about how the female protagonist would gain power, let alone support him. The female protagonist knew him well, so she could only become a tool of power. The emperor's contempt for the harem was the last straw for him to commit suicide. He did not want the sincerity of the harem and never treated them well. To put it bluntly, his harem was no better than Pingkangfang. Being self-centered and unkind is the best portrayal of this father and son, so the ending is naturally not much better. The heroine will not choose another person who is similar to the emperor. The one who associates with the enemy will die. She chooses one of three, and of course the other person must not be a ruthless person. Sometimes the story feels very ironic at the end. There is clearly a good way out, but it is forced into a dead end by one's own greed.
Pre-collection of new articles → "I have fixed this piece of mud"
Lu Mingzhu's short twenty-five years of life can be summed up in one sentence - mud cannot hold up a wall.
Her parents are top academics, but she is a scumbag.
Her parents divorced and remarried, and she became the control group for all the outstanding younger siblings.
He had a third-rate diploma and a bad job, but he had a niche hobby that cost him money. In the end, he had to sell the house given by his parents to support him, and he became a failure that his family kept silent about.
At the age of twenty-five, she lived in a small and cramped rented house and died suddenly late one night. When her family held a funeral for her, she felt more embarrassed than sad, and even felt a subtle sense of relief.
Once reborn, Lu Mingzhu returned to her sixteenth year and was bound to a [Mud Rescue System]. As long as she completed all the tasks in the system, she would get [Mud Reward: Koi Life].
Lu Mingzhu was ready to fight, but then she fell down at the first step of her rebirth - looking at the top student who had exchanged bodies with her and was tutoring her, and who had developed all-round moral, intellectual, physical, artistic and physical skills, Lu Mingzhu's soul knelt down and burst into tears: "I can't carry it anymore, I really can't carry it anymore... O(╥╥)o."
Yu Yao, who was pressing Lu Mingzhu's body, took a deep breath, grinding each word out from between his teeth. The female voice was cold: "Continue, continue."
The writing is very good and the plot is smooth. I like the character of the heroine very much. She is brave and resourceful and has a rebellious personality. The way she gets along with the hero is also good.
Ahhhhh, it looks good, it looks good!
I feel so sad that it will be over soon
