The apocalypse has arrived, and alien species run rampant. Shi Yan is an S-rank inspector at the Light Tower Base, with the highest authority to pass judgment.
After dealing with the infected that had invaded the base, he headed straight home, the smell of blood still in the air. No one knew that...
Shi Yan would stroke a writhing mass of shadow and murmur tenderly:
"Are you hungry?"
Shi Yan kept a monster.
He knew the monster didn't understand love. Their entanglement was nothing more than its instinctive way of marking prey, its possessive sense of territory. This was a sad, one-sided act of keeping a pet.
It didn't matter. As long as the monster belonged to him.
And yet...
Shi Yan didn't know that the terrifying aura of the monster had clung to him day and night, weaving an impenetrable net that had grown so intense it was nearly consuming his soul.
After a rescue mission, an unbelievably handsome man appeared at Shi Yan's side.
He was delicate and pampered, narrow-minded, and couldn't stand Shi Yan even looking at anyone else. He'd get jealous even over a passing bug.
His subordinates were heartbroken: It's over. The chief inspector's gone blind and taken in a useless little parasite who does nothing but get jealous!
Until Shi Yan was gravely injured.
The earth shook. The spine of that delicate, beautiful man suddenly burst open, sending out countless hideous, terrifying tentacles, as if hell itself had descended.
As everyone screamed in horror, the monster, powerful enough to devour the entire base, swiftly tore apart the infected that had hurt Shi Yan.
The next second, every fang drew back.
Those terrifying tentacles trembled as they wrapped around Shi Yan's wound. A dark red glow flowed through them, rebuilding his flesh.
Shi Yan opened his eyes and reached out to touch him.
"Don't cry. I'm here."
Reader's guide:
1. At first, they have a mutual crush, but the one being pursued thinks he's the only one falling in love. His sense of morality keeps him from saying it aloud. The pursuer is a true romantic but can't express himself.
2. Both are hopeless romantics. The one being pursued is madly in love with an indescribable monster! The pursuer loves him just as much. After catching even the faintest trace of his beloved's scent, he left his species behind while still in his juvenile form and crossed the star systems to find him.
3. Human-nonhuman romance, a touch of Lovecraftian horror, and an unusual fetish.
The following is a forthcoming nonhuman romance, My Plant Wants to Eat Me. Please add it to your favorites if you're interested.

Shen Shidu kept a Venus flytrap.
Every day, he watered it and fertilized it, sometimes stroking its cool leaves.
"Grow a little slower. You're going to outgrow your pot."
He didn't know that the Venus flytrap was waiting: waiting until it was strong enough, until its roots were well-developed, until its traps were big enough...
Big enough to swallow a person.
-
On the night it took human form, Shen Shidu was woken by a noise. A person stood in the darkness, long hair falling over half of his pale, cool back. His face was so exquisite he looked almost demonic.
Shen Shidu lowered his head. Green vines extended from behind the man, winding around his ankles, calves, and knees. They weren't tight, but they wouldn't let him break free.
So it's my Venus flytrap...
Shen Shidu understood. He didn't struggle. He simply looked up into those green eyes and asked:
"Are you going to eat me?"
The Venus flytrap tilted its head.
The vines tightened, pulling Shen Shidu in front of him. Those green vertical pupils drew close, near enough for Shen Shidu to see his own reflection in them.
Cold lips pressed against the side of his neck.
They didn't bite down.
They simply stayed there, feeling his pulse. As if confirming something.
Shen Shidu closed his eyes.
He remembered three years ago, on a rainy day, when he'd spotted this nearly dead Venus flytrap in a corner of the flower market. The seller said it was a strange plant and anyone who kept it would die. Shen Shidu had refused to believe him.
He'd brought it home.
Fangs pierced his skin.
Shen Shidu's fingers curled slightly, but he didn't push him away.
"...All right." He believed it now.
He had raised a monster with his own hands, and it was trying to eat him.
But...
Shen Shidu hadn't expected it to eat him like this!!
It was only when the vines pressed him into the mattress that Shen Shidu belatedly realized something was wrong.
The man looked down at him, his pupils shining. His hand slid beneath Shen Shidu's hem, brushing his ribs. Shen Shidu couldn't help but flinch.
The Venus flytrap stopped and tilted its head at him.
The newly transformed monster hadn't yet learned how to eat its beloved. It needed someone to teach it.
#A Venus flytrap takes five to seven days to digest its prey, but for its beloved, it will take a lifetime#

Teacher goes home! Woo woo woo woo. I want to see an update... Ah, don't be fooled. Please teacher. Can you please finish writing about our little monster and baby... I'm so sad. 😭
Do you want to update it? If you don't understand v better, don't let us spend money in vain.
If you are fooled, at least solve v... When you are exhausted...
At that time, I read it because the author said it would be updated every day. But now it has been discontinued for such a long time without any explanation of the reason. I simply said it would not be updated and I stopped waiting. This is the first novel that I bought every chapter after updating, which is a bit disappointing.
Why is it not updated again? 😭 At least I can put a leave request note. It's really annoying. Even though the writing is good, the data is okay.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... 😭 😭 😭 😭
Why do you do this? Don't abuse your mouth and teeth.
Young lovers should have a good time (ノДT)
I can faintly smell the smell of knives (╥_╥)
Lavelle, why don't you go and search for gemstones to use as engagement rings?
