[A letter of explanation]
Happy ending. This is an HP derivative with major changes, so fans of the original, read at your own risk.
The story follows a girl who transmigrates into the world and changes the original course of events. Along the way, she finds friendship, family, and love of her own. She grows through each challenge, gradually becoming the person she wants to be and changing the original, shattered ending.
The story takes place during the Marauders' era and focuses on school life. It follows the original design fairly closely, but most of the people we care about won't die. It's definitely a happy ending! The next generation of children will be happy too.
The male lead is Sirius. The female lead is an original character and a member of a family from the original. All rights belong to Aunt Rowling.
The female lead is a daughter of the Greengrass family and has an older brother (who is, of course, my own creation). She's a little lion, so her situation is somewhat similar to Sirius's, but also different.
There are quite a few original characters, and I've tried to use families that appear in the original too. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
The main point of view, the "I," is Aurora Greengrass, the female lead. The story will also occasionally use an omniscient perspective to show what different characters are thinking. It's a slow burn, and there won't be a situation like in I Was a Player at Hogwarts. The heroine is impulsive when she first arrives. Sirius is rebellious and carefree. The Black brothers have a familial bond, and the Marauders' friendships are close. I'll also include the GGAD pairing I personally ship, possibly toward the end.
