For a long time, the Six Realms have been peaceful, ever since the war between immortals and demons ended inconclusively a thousand years ago.

But Siming, the Star Lord of Fate, who had been in seclusion for countless millennia, suddenly appeared in the Nine Heavens Palace. He declared that disaster might soon befall the Six Realms and begged the current Heavenly Emperor to descend to the mortal world and prevent it.

At the same time, the demon realm, dormant for tens of thousands of years, suddenly stirred. Countless demons slipped into the mortal world, apparently searching for something.

Concerned for all living things, the Heavenly Emperor saw the strange movements in the demon realm. At Siming's urgent request, he agreed to step into the Wheel of Heavenly Fate and make a journey through the mortal world.
