[Gone with the Wind] Fanfic: Reborn

"The point of fanfiction is to create countless parallel worlds where you no longer have regrets, and to give every story a happy ending.", From the internet

I suddenly remembered how devastated I was after reading the ending of Gone with the Wind more than ten years ago, and the promise I made to myself back then: one day, I would use my own writing to let Scarlett O'Hara and Captain Rhett Butler live happily together forever.

But Margaret's writing was so brilliant that I never dared to start. Eventually, I forgot all about it.

Ten years from now, if I'm still writing, and my writing and life experience have grown richer than they are today, then even if I can't hold a candle to the original author, I'd still like to make this dream come true.

"I think people love Gone with the Wind because it tells a story about courage.", Author Margaret Mitchell

A brave girl can always win everything she wants, especially when she's as beautiful as she is.

I'm not sure whether to write a reborn story or a continuation (probably reborn). I have absolutely no intention of disrespecting the original author's ending. This is purely a wish-fulfillment fic born of my own lingering regret. I love Gone with the Wind; it's the number one Western romance novel in my heart. I'm grateful to Margaret for creating every one of its characters.

Theme: Scarlett and Rhett are made for each other. A beautiful, brave girl will always win everything she wants.
