[The neighboring novel "Reborn as the Crown Princess" is now underway]
The System informs Su Shaotang that she has transmigrated into a book, the novel about a mistress rising to become the wife that she read before bed.
Unfortunately, she has become the male lead's first wife. She keeps to her duties and follows the rules, diligently managing the household for him, only for him to fall under the spell of another woman.
System: You must win the male lead's heart if you want to survive!
Su Shaotang frowns. "Ugh, he's so dirty."
She has a severe aversion to dirt. With a husband this filthy, does she really have to take him back?
When the male lead returns to the capital with the emperor after their southern tour, he finds that his well-behaved wife seems like a different person.
She won't let him touch her or get into bed.
Before long, she won't even let him sleep in her room.
Everything she eats and uses must be the finest quality. Otherwise, she'd rather starve than touch it.
She even bathes in milk every three days.
In just one month, she spends an entire year's salary of his.
When he tactfully suggests that she try to be a little more frugal, she stares at him in disbelief.
"I only take a milk bath once every three days. Can't you afford to support me?"
Shen Yuan: ...
Shen Yuan has nothing to say. He can only work desperately to climb the ranks and earn more money, so he can prove to Su Shaotang that he can afford to support his wife!
--
At mealtime, Shen Yuan serves Su Shaotang some food.
Her fine brows suddenly knit together, and she looks at him as if he's something filthy.
Shen Yuan feels a lump in his throat. She is getting more and more outrageous. He is just about to scold her when she loses her temper first and tosses down her chopsticks.
"Are you trying to starve me to death?"
Shen Yuan laughs in exasperation at being blamed for the very thing he's accused of.
Every dish on the table is something she likes, while he has only a plate of greens. So which one of them is trying to starve the other?
Su Shaotang meets his gaze without a hint of guilt.
What a filthy man. If he starves to death, she won't have to take him back.
P.S.:
1. The heroine is extremely spoiled.
2. The male lead is in the blurb, but the heroine doesn't fall for him right away, and another male character will appear along the way.
[Pre-release rebirth novel: "Reborn as the Crown Princess". Add it to your collection~]
Blurb:
The Crown Prince contracts smallpox. The emperor orders him to move out of the Eastern Palace, and he ends up at the Minister of Revenue's residence. Everyone is so afraid of catching the disease that they avoid Xie Yuzhao. Only Jiang Yitang approaches him without fear of death.
Her birth mother was of low status and died in a well, yet no one even asked after her.
As Jiang Yitang trembles while cleaning the pox sores on Xie Yuzhao, all she can think of is taking a gamble on her dream of becoming empress.
Later, Xie Yuzhao loses the succession struggle and is placed under house arrest in a prince's residence. Jiang Yitang's dream of becoming his consort is shattered. She lives in constant fear and doesn't dare visit Xie Yuzhao, afraid she'll end up like her birth mother.
So when the new emperor ascends the throne, she is afraid of being implicated. Her so-called biological father forces her to drink poison, and she dies in the little courtyard where her birth mother once lived.
After being reborn, Jiang Yitang remembers the agonizing pain as the poison coursed through her body, and trembles all over in fear.
She thinks of Xie Yuzhao at this point in time, on the brink of death and with no one to care for him.
In her previous life, she went to him without hesitation. Now, she is too afraid to go.
Xie Yuzhao is trapped in prison for five years. Jiang Yitang, who was once tender and affectionate toward him when he was in power, never visits him once.
In his previous life, after he succeeds in taking the throne, he hasn't even had the chance to see her begging him through tear-filled eyes before news arrives that Jiang Yitang has taken her own life to atone for her sins.
Jiang Yitang treasures her life above all else and is even afraid of suffering. When he gets into trouble, she can't wait to cut ties with him. How could she possibly choose death?
The last time Xie Yuzhao saw Jiang Yitang, she was covered in bruises, blood staining her clothes, her body a horrifying sight. It was enough to show how much she had suffered before she died.
--
When Xie Yuzhao wakes up, he has returned to his youth. He has just contracted smallpox and has been sent to the Minister of Revenue's residence.
He sees Jiang Yitang stumble inside and grab his sleeve with trembling hands. Her voice shakes. "Xie Yuzhao, I'll save you. You have to protect me in the future, all right?"
Blood and pus stain her clothes. Xie Yuzhao closes his eyes.
He gently takes Jiang Yitang's hand and lowers his gaze. "All right."
In his previous life, he made Jiang Yitang empress, to the shock of the world.
But no one knew that when he was near death, one person stayed by his side, trembling with fear but refusing to leave.
In this life, he will not be placed under house arrest again, and Jiang Yitang will never have another chance to leave him.
P.S.: A timid heroine and an obsessive, devoted hero
Theme: Keep yourself pure.
I really like it. It would be great if I could bring my brother with me in the extra story. Or I could go back and see my brother. I feel a little uncomfortable with my brother being alone.
The ending is quite good, but why is it so difficult to reconcile? My Shen Yuhui, he is a person after all???
Take a look at the full order (?????)
After reading the comments, I think the extra chapter is quite good. It explains why Tangtang uses the system to travel through the book, and explains the fundamental reason why he travels through the book. The main text ends with both people escaping to death (bringing memories back to modern times). Why can't it be considered a sweet story... Shen Yugan wants Tangtang to take him away, but Tangtang has always wanted to return to modern times. It's a wonderful ending where both the male and female protagonist's wishes are fulfilled. And it must be really uncomfortable for her to have Tangtang trapped in ancient times.
Overall it's pretty good... Come on!
Not bad, not bad, okay, but my brother is so pitiful QAQ
Wow, wow, what a pity, brother, I thought he would be there too
My brother was left alone there. .
It would be better to just write about the heroine's awakening, and the hero and heroine go away happily, leaving a lot of mess for the supporting characters in the book without explaining it, and not cleaning up the consequences of their awakening? What about the heroine's ancient parents and the hero's younger brother? How can the ancient people accept it by simply telling them? ? ? The heroine is obviously from two worlds, so the world in the book is also her original world? ! ? Also, the original heroine entered the second prince's palace and nothing happened. She is still the original heroine after all. Set in ancient times, the heroine has so many bugs
The overall logic is not very good, and it becomes more and more broken as you go to the end. And how can you say that the male protagonist is resisting for the female protagonist? If there is no female protagonist, wouldn't he resist when he knows that he is being controlled?
It would be nice if there were more extras
This point is really given to the ending and the extra chapter. The extra chapter is too long-winded to read, and there are a lot of explanations. How about just watching the finale? Just the last extra chapter.
