Gu Zhiwei waited patiently for him to finish working, then offered him the snacks and a divorce agreement. "I'm sorry, Jiang Shu. I can't keep this up anymore."

Jiang Shu had just picked up his spoon. He paused, his gaze lingering on the divorce agreement.

His eyes darkened as he looked at the graceful figure before him. "Have I done something wrong?"

Gu Zhiwei shook her head.

He frowned. "Then why?"

Gu Zhiwei twisted her fingers together and lowered her lashes. "...You can't force someone to love you. I want to try something sweeter."

Jiang Shu: "..."

After a brief silence, Gu Zhiwei heard a ceramic spoon clink against the bowl.

She looked up, and her view was suddenly filled with the man, his pajama collar slightly open and one collarbone exposed.

Before she could react, a hand cupped the back of her head and her lips met something soft...
