Lord met someone when he was eighteen. The man was gentle and refined, and Lord fell in love at first sight.

The next day, the man was nowhere to be found. A divination revealed that he belonged to the sea.

Lord searched the sea for him for two years, then was tricked into ending up on a deserted island for another two. All told, he waited four years.

As it happened, the man made a name for himself in battle and was appointed a vice admiral. Lord became a pirate captain who had even lost his ship.

Luckily, he could still make use of his identity as an imperial duke. Once I get my ship back, I'll confess.

Lord: *whimper*

Lin Wen: Well... I guess boys aren't out of the question.

Truthfully, I don't really want to be a naval officer. And I don't really want to be a pirate, either.

What I really want is to be with you.
