Su Mu was once a general in the immortal realm. After breaking the Jade Emperor's glass cup, he was punished by being sent into a melodramatic rich-family novel.
In the book, he is the disabled villain's half-brother, unrelated by blood. Manipulated by their mother, he foolishly tries to fight his older brother for the family fortune, only to lose miserably and pay with his life. He appears for fewer than ten chapters in total: nothing but a cannon-fodder character for the villain to sink his teeth into.
Stripped of his magic, Su Mu wants to survive to the end of the story, escape his punishment, and return to the immortal realm. His only choice is to cling to his villainous older brother.
His brother wants to know how their mother plans to deal with him?
"Don't worry. I'll go find out for you."
His brother wants their mother's bid proposal?
"Wait here. I'll steal it for you."
Gold, silver, jewels, shares, power: I'll give you anything you want. Just let me cling to you!
Su Mu asks, "Brother, what else do you want?"
Su Chen stands up from his wheelchair. "You."
Su Chen is a lonely blade of grass in this world. No one loves him, and he loves no one. All he pursues is power. But when the person who has always competed with him for power inexplicably starts treating him well, he grows suspicious and wary, scheming and using him. Only in the end does he discover that all that kindness seems to be sincere, and that this person is willing to give his life for him.
Suddenly, he wants to take a chance and see whether this love will end in victory or defeat.
