A captivating female designer x a roguish but gentle police officer
Partly set at school, partly in the city
Male lead: Zhou Huai
Female lead: Chen Man
“Why is there ginger in this sweet potato soup?” Chen Man muttered.
“Then give that to me, and you can have this double-skin milk pudding.”
“But the mango on top is so sour.”
Zhou Huai took the bowl of pudding, ate the mango on top, grinned at Chen Man, and said, “Go ahead and eat.”
Four years later
“One sweet potato soup, please.” Their reunion came so unexpectedly.
“How funny that you ran into this beauty,” Lin Mu joked.
Chen Man’s heart skipped a beat. She gripped her phone tighter and stared at him, her eyes seeming to hold some emotion.
“You know each other?” Lin Mu looked at the two of them, sensing something off in the atmosphere.
“We don’t.” The familiar voice was just as cold as ever.
That night, Zhou Huai, drunk, leaned against her doorway and said, “I miss you so much. Just come back, you little brat.”
It wasn’t exactly the ending everyone had hoped for, but it was a realistic ending, and the ending of many a youth.
