The God of Death Wants to Take Muzan Away Again Today

I am the God of Death, the deity who leads people to their deaths.

Today, I was working hard as usual. My target was a newborn baby in the home of a noble family in Heian-kyo. But the child, who was supposed to be stillborn, somehow survived.

I looked at him, still crying, then at the name that had vanished from my death ledger. My trip had been for nothing.

But fate wouldn't let him escape death.

He struggled to live into his teens. Honestly, even I was amazed.

But I didn't think the gods would allow it to go on. The time to take him was drawing near. Just as I was rubbing my hands together, ready to embrace him, a doctor arrived, bringing some strange medicine.

The funny thing was, the doctor came before I did.

I figured that since the doctor had arrived, he wouldn't be far behind.

But he stopped being human and became a ghost instead.
