[The Outcast] A Light in the Dark Room

Hello, my name is Dongfang Deng. I'm a fourth-year computer science student at Zhejiang X University, and an ordinary rich second-generation kid from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. For the past 22 years, I've always thought of myself as an unremarkable winner in life. I was born into a good family. My parents are rich and influential, and we have cars and houses, including several properties inside Beijing's Second Ring Road. My dad told me through my mom's belly, before I was even born, that our family's wealth was enough to keep us fed and comfortable for generations. So ever since I was little, I thought life had no meaning. I was determined to be an ordinary rich kid, all coquettish and shallow, with no ambition beyond eating, drinking, and having fun. Then one day, my peaceful life of eating, drinking, and having fun was shattered. Just before my thesis defense, I got a call from my dad. He said solemnly, "Deng'er, our family is bankrupt." *User Guide* - Updated daily, so dive in without worry. - Candidates for the male lead: Wang Ye or Zhuge Qing Theme: Growing up
