Catnip is the pride of the whole village. At only a hundred years old, she had already cultivated a human form, though she owed it to the blood of an ancient, powerful cat demon.
The delicate, little Catnip was proud of herself, too! She patted her head and made a bold promise. "Thanks to all the folks in the village for raising me. When I go down the mountain this time, I'll earn lots of faith and come back to make life better for everyone!"
She went down the mountain to compete in a talent show.
And then
somehow
The powerful cat demon had become a movie queen! And a judge, too!
Catnip saw the cat demon's predatory gaze and kept backing away!
She nearly fell off the stage!!!
At the critical moment!
Everyone watched as the movie queen swiftly caught the prettiest contestant in the show. The two looked like they were in a romantic movie.
Catnip cried out in terror: "No!"
The cat demon's expression remained blank, her eyes slightly red. "What?"
The whole venue fell silent. No one had imagined they would see a cool, aloof movie queen fall in love with a contestant right there at the competition.
How exciting!
Catnip closed her eyes and said, trembling,
"Don't eat me."
"I'll sing for you, okay?"
The movie queen smiled and whispered, "Okay."
