I Became a Top Student to Raise a Child

Zhu Yueran downloaded a game where she could raise a pitiful little Demon King in a demon realm reduced to wasteland.

The little Demon King was adorable. A speech bubble popped up above his round little head: Candy.

She tapped it, and a payment screen appeared.

Zhu: Hah. My name is Zhu Yueran, and I won't spend a single cent.

Later, she found the little Demon King she'd been raising curled up in a tiny ball on the ground, tearfully chewing on grass.

Zhu: Well, maybe I'll occasionally save the price of a cup of milk tea to raise my little darling.

Later still, her family's old printer suddenly started working! It whirred and spat out a paper cutout of the little Demon King, who even shakily stood up with his hands on his hips!

She poked him, and he flopped right back down!

Zhu: Ahhhhh, why is my little darling so cute? Waaah, Mommy loves you!

The little Demon King vanished with a pop, and she saw a message on the printer:

[Current level: 1; Upgrade requirement: Own 100 gold coins; Next level: Increased duration. P.S. The final form comes with a surprise!]

Zhu: So worth it!

Zhu Yueran was a poor student from a wealthy family. Hoping to get more pocket money, she finally buckled down, studying diligently while happily raising her little darling.

The former class dead last accidentally rose to become the top student in the entire grade.

One day, a delinquent girl who envied Zhu Yueran cornered her in an alley.

When she was trapped against the wall with nowhere to run, she saw a young man appear at the end of the alley, backlit. He had black hair and red eyes, and looked just like the little darling she'd raised.

"Who are you to her?!" the little delinquent demanded, her face swollen and bruised from the beating.

"He's my son!"

"My child groom."

The little delinquent: ???
