Close the Door

[Content warning] This is the worst apocalypse setting ever; the setting exists to serve the protagonists. Yun Ning's first love is a man, so if you can't accept that, don't read Chapter One. Li Yunqing is also a scumbag, and Yun Ning is the legendary bottom. Okay, here's an excerpt from the story.

Yun Ning wasn't asleep. She thought, If this woman says any more, she'll seduce me again. This can't go on.

Suddenly, Li Yunqing said softly, "Yun Ning, I love you."

Yun Ning blinked beneath the covers.

"I can only say this when you're asleep. I'm afraid of society's prejudice. I don't ask you to forgive me. I just want you to know that whenever you need me, I'll be here," Li Yunqing sighed. "I'll try to change. I'll work hard to earn money and care less about what other people think. If, by then, you're willing to accept me, we'll be together. If you aren't, I'll pine for you forever."

Yun Ning felt a little sad. She thought, This woman is lying to me again. But a small part of her was secretly delighted. As I thought, she still loves me.

The watch on her wrist ticked away. Yun Ning looked at it. The hands pointed to 5:20, 520: I love you.
