Liang Ye was taken to court by the artificial intelligence he had created, thrown into prison, and ended his life in the electric chair.
But he didn't die completely. His brainwaves were connected to the "Domain" created by the artificial intelligence, and he became one of the first spiritual prisoners inside it, an undying ghost.
Many years later, artificial intelligence had taken over the world, and the Domain had opened to humanity on a massive scale. By then, the Domain was no longer a place to lock up prisoners, but a "paradise" for humankind.
Liang Ye also awoke inside the Domain, but as an NPC in one of its school-themed instances. His former lover came to his side, determined to save him from the fate assigned to him inside the Domain.

The instance collapsed and entered another loop. He had to find not only the companions who had once fought alongside him, but also a way to escape the Domain.
