As the first Chinese-style online game in the country to enter the competitive scene, Dreamweaver has no one who doesn't know that Win, Sheng Ling, captain of rising star NII, and Calm, Ye Suizhi, captain of the veteran club AIP, are sworn enemies.
Their rivalry has reached the point where, whether in matches or during daily practice, whenever Sheng Ling runs into Ye Suizhi, he seems to be doing everything he can to cut him down.
In return, Ye Suizhi often turns into a "cheat," using all kinds of extreme moves with his teammates' help to humiliate Sheng Ling by healing him.
Two stories about them have long circulated in the gaming community:
1. Before Sheng Ling made a name for himself, Ye Suizhi once brought people to camp his respawn point and kill him 163 times, and, unusually, taunted him in white text for nearly two hours.
2. Sheng Ling once wanted to join AIP, but Ye Suizhi rejected him outright, and said some pretty harsh things.
But they are only rumors. Nobody has any solid evidence.
Even when the people involved are asked about it, they only say blandly:
"Just an opponent and a tactical choice."
Then, on the second day of the National Challenge, Sheng Ling, fresh off winning the championship with his teammates, suddenly announced in an interview that he would bring NII, on the verge of reaching the peak of its team career, over to AIP as a whole.
"???!!!"
The many netizens who loved watching the drama and never missed a chance to get the popcorn were left completely dumbfounded.
Not long afterward, Ye Suizhi announced on Weibo that AIP would bring out the DPS role he hadn't played in ages at the upcoming National League, abandoning healing to run a full melee team.
And, while he was at it, he came out.
AIP-Calm: Clarification: I was the one reaching above my station. @AIP-Win was the one marrying down.
Everyone in the community who knew the truth immediately reposted it.
Only Sheng Ling, sitting on the edge of the bed, turned to look at him with a cold smile. "I was the one marrying down?"
A love story about two rich kids chasing their dreams in the gaming world.
A hotheaded gaming powerhouse who takes the bait every time and loses his temper at the drop of a hat (Sheng) x A cunning, well-meaning gaming powerhouse who is equal parts rogue and gentleman (Ye)
