Blurb:
When Wen Zhiyu was sixteen, she fell for a handsome young man with beautiful hands.
On a snowy day, the boy held a black umbrella, and she couldn’t make out his face. The hand gripping the umbrella handle, however, stood out vividly.
Pale, long, slender.
He looked chaste and untouchable, yet a platinum pinky ring encircled his little finger, making her want to drag him down from his pedestal.
Her childhood friend, who had grown up with her, introduced him: “Pei Yanzhi. I met him while studying in England.”
“A top student at Imperial College London, the young master of a big capitalist family. He looks like a proper gentleman, but he’s actually a pampered, unhinged lunatic. You can treat him like half a childhood friend, but don’t fall for him.”
She didn’t listen.
When winter break ended, she let loose on a social platform she hadn’t used in ages: “I’ve got my eye on a catlike guy. He’s 187.6 cm, has an eight-pack, is a genius, handsome, dresses well, has a great voice, and gives off that fatherly-young-man vibe.”
“I don’t want to date, but I do want to play with him, including but not limited to jealous-angst fiction, ‘I’d give you my life’ fiction, and crazy, domineering love...”
“Ugh, it’s such a headache.”
Not long after, at an overseas students’ exchange event, a tipsy young woman let slip her secret dark fantasies and clung to him, acting drunk. “Why don’t you play along with me for a while...”
Pei Yanzhi stared pensively at the black card pressed into his palm. After a long pause, he gave an amused smile. “Sure.”
At first, Wen Zhiyu only wanted to play around with him, acting out absurd, crazy fantasies.
Later...
The cat is so spoiled. The cat is so fragile. The cat is so pitiful. The cat seems... a little bad.
The day she discovered his true nature and asked to break up, it rained heavily.
Late at night, after drinking, inside a black Bentley.
He worked her over until she was barely conscious.
In a daze, she saw the owner of those hands caressing the platinum pinky ring she had dampened. His voice was seductive. “Didn’t you want to play?”
His dark eyes lingered on her bitten, reddened lips. After a long moment, he slowly unbuttoned his shirt and drawled, “Want to keep playing?”
Wen Zhiyu, who had somehow ended up on the wrong side of a deal: “...”

In his youth, Pei Yanzhi was notorious in his family for refusing to be controlled. The verdict from their social circle: a young master from a top-tier wealthy family, an unrepentant playboy in the world of fame and fortune, frivolous, arrogant, unruly, capricious, and ruthless.
Everyone planned to let him fend for himself.
Then...
He met his little spark.
//You are the most beautiful fireworks of winter, giving me tenderness and promising me I’m the only one.//
Genius girl who only does research and never falls in love X unhinged young master who does everything but act like a human and is obsessed with AI
A story about two weirdos becoming crazy for love.
In short: A mutual “illness” that draws them to each other.
Both leads are each other’s first love, and both are sexually inexperienced.
A healing wintertime sweet romance, from school days to the wedding aisle.
No intimate scenes while they are underage.
I’m terrible at writing blurbs, so the character profiles are all right there. It’s a fun little sweet romance.
[Gentle reminder]: The heroine is highly intelligent but has low emotional intelligence. She’s extremely slow to understand romantic feelings and hurts people without realizing it. The hero is no pushover either. He’s spoiled and unhinged, so enter with caution if you’re looking for a strong sense of morality.
The premise, characters, and first blurb date to June 2021. The second version of the characters and blurb was posted on 2024.12.05.
