On the hundredth day after his egg hatched, Bei Mingsu became engaged to Jinduan, the youngest son of the Youyu clan. It all began when the drunken Grand Elder of the dragon clan saw Jinduan's marriage thread on his eggshell.
The amorous dragons had lived in Beiming for hundreds of thousands of years. Their children's bloodlines were often a messy mix, so finding a pair of pureblood dragon demons was no easy feat. And considering that a dragon's life spans thousands of years, a dragon could have plenty of partners over time, and any mismatch could be broken off at any moment, finding a demon companion before the mating season was what mattered most. So the two families arranged the marriage first.
Who could have known that before the two young dragons reached adulthood, their parents would each find someone else and part ways amicably? Bei Mingsu's parents no longer had much time for him, while Jinduan, nine years his senior, wanted a demon companion and kept him half-confined.
All in all, from the start, fate was not very kind to young Bei Mingsu.

Jinduan had a pretty eggshell, so he was named Jinduan. Naming characters really is too hard. (This will probably be the first one I update. It's a light, sweet little story.)
