Ming Xi is a fledgling vampire. Her mission is to mark a beauty and take her home.

She comes to a human city, pretending to be a poor little thing with nowhere else to go, and quickly finds her target.

The gorgeous woman’s blood is fragrant, alluring, and sweet, the perfect bait.

One night, Ming Xi finally reveals her true nature. She bites the tip of Qiao Liangzhu’s ear, leaving a bright red mark as her claim.

She bares her sharp little fangs and tries to scare her target. “Ha ha! I’ve got you!”

Ming Xi waits for her to panic, grow afraid, and then give in to her overwhelming power.

But Qiao Liangzhu calmly wipes the blood from the tip of her ear. Not only is she not afraid, she gives Ming Xi a dazzling smile. “Then it’s my turn to bite you.”

The little vampire stares at her in bewilderment. Wait, is she a vampire too?!

Qiao Liangzhu leans in over her.

Ming Xi really does get bitten, just not in the way she expected.

Wu Li recently met a kindred spirit online, a lovely young woman who sends her sizzling selfies every day. The only problem is that she refuses to show her face or speak.

In her second year of university, Wu Li’s childhood friend and former crush, Ning Yanyan, comes to Wu Li’s school as an exchange student for two years.

“Oh, I heard you’re from the same hometown. You must know each other really well, right?” her nosy roommate asks.

“No. We don’t know each other.”

“We’re not close.”

Wu Li and Ning Yanyan answer in unison, exchange an awkward glance, then quickly look away.

That night, Wu Li dreams she’s lying in Ning Yanyan’s bed. Ning Yanyan narrows her seductive, foxlike eyes, folds her arms, and sneers. “Oh, we don’t know each other?”

What is going on? Terrified, Wu Li jumps out of bed and makes a run for it, only to be swept up around the waist and carried right back.

The next day, Wu Li struggles to climb out of bed on shaky legs. The “stranger” who’s “not close” to her gives her a concerned look. “Are you okay?”

Wouldn’t you know best whether I’m okay?! Fine, Ning Yanyan really doesn’t seem to know. Maybe it was just a one-sided dream.

Still, Wu Li can’t figure out why she dreamed of putting her kindred spirit’s body on Ning Yanyan’s face.

From then on, Wu Li finds herself wavering between her childhood friend and the lovely woman she met online.

She thinks, “I can’t be the only person in the world who’s fallen for two women, can I?”

Finally, unable to bear the guilt any longer, Wu Li comes clean to the woman she met online.

“I’m sorry. The person I used to have a crush on is pursuing me, and I don’t think I can hold out much longer. o(╥﹏╥)o”

Wu Li is prepared for the other woman to fly into a rage and break up with her, but she never expects her to take it all in stride.
