"Xie You, I like you. Will you let me be your omega?" said his 10,086th secret admirer.

"Thanks, I appreciate it, but I'm an omega."

"Xie You, if you're rejecting me, at least come up with a better excuse. How could you be an omega?"

It's not my fault my pheromones smell bad. Hey, you passing by, could you do me a favor and play along for a minute?

"Let me introduce you all. This is my boyfriend."

Xie You: "I think it's time we put on a breakup act."

Lu Zhizhou: "The talk in the group chat about wanting to pounce on you is starting to make a comeback. I think we should feed them some sweetness."

The next day, someone secretly snaps a photo of two blades of grass hugging behind the school.

Xie You: "Exam week is coming up. Let's cancel our dates for a while."

Lu Zhizhou: "We still have to go on dates. We need to give them enough angst, or they won't be able to focus on studying."

The next day, someone runs into two blades of grass feeding each other fries at the burger place across from school.

Xie You says: Lu Zhizhou may seem cold and quiet, but in private he's very helpful (to Xie You only), well-behaved (when Xie You is around), respectful to his elders (Xie You's grandma), and fond of children (Xie You's dog). He's a great guy, so don't bully him.

Later

Xie You rubs his aching back with a world-weary sigh. "Who hasn't been blind at some point?"
