The Tyrant's Beloved Sweetheart

Couple: Obsessive, bloodthirsty tyrant top x innocent, adorable, lucky flower fairy bottom

Rumor has it that the new emperor is cruel and bloodthirsty, cold and merciless. As soon as he took the throne, he began a massacre, leaving rivers of blood in his wake. His methods are brutal and his actions ruthless. The people of the realm dare not speak out, though they seethe with anger.

Lihua is a pear tree spirit who has only just taken human form. By a twist of fate, he assumes the identity of a prince of the Yueche Kingdom and comes to the tyrant's side. On the very first day after Lihua arrives, news comes that the capital of Yueche has fallen.

He nervously tries to get by in the palace, secretly practicing magic in the hope of escaping his misery as soon as possible. To his surprise, before he knows it, the tyrant has spoiled him rotten.

Xuanji was never wanted by his parents. Even after surviving plots and ambushes and successfully ascending the throne, he still isn't happy. He kept Lihua around at first just to amuse himself. Who could have guessed that, after teasing him again and again, he'd end up giving him his heart?

He's never been loved by anyone and doesn't know how to love someone else. Awkwardly, he tries every trick he can think of to keep the one he loves, but his schemes keep failing.

Little scene:

The night is silent. Xuanji's eyes are closed, moonlight falling across his handsome, pale face.

At a quarter past midnight, Lihua slips into the bedchamber as if he knows his way around, speaking softly.

"I heard you were sick?"

"You're back?"

Xuanji opens his star-bright eyes and smiles at Lihua, while secretly giving an order.

The doors and windows are smashed open, and countless black-armored guards rush inside.

Lihua is startled and, in his panic, grabs Xuanji and teleports away.

Xuanji lies on a stone bed in a cave, his feelings in turmoil. He can't help pulling his little blanket tighter around himself.

"I remember your spells weren't this fast before."

"People improve, you know." Lihua laughs. "Wasn't I amazing? I rescued you in an instant. You really scared me back there."

"Mm." Xuanji smiles and nods, hiding the darkness in his eyes.

The several hundred Xuanwu Guards left behind cry themselves senseless in the great hall...
