Liang is Josuke Higashikata's twin sister.
She's a genius in every respect. At sixteen, she's composed, calm, and dependable.
But she has a secret, one she kept hidden for twelve years, until her grandfather's death revealed it to her brother, Josuke.
She has a terrifying power.
It's called "Life and Death."
In short, it's a Stand that can control whether people live or die. It has nearly fifty rules, more than any other Stand currently known in the world.
It takes the form of a black notebook. Life is written on the front, and death on the back.
Though it has many rules, its abilities can be summed up in three:
1. Bring the dead back to life and kill the living.
2. The "Eyes of the Reaper," which let her see other people's names and dates of death.
3. In exchange for half of Liang Higashikata's natural lifespan, she can come back to life if she dies an unnatural death. She returns to a point in time before the date of her death, which means she can travel back to the past.
Liang killed someone when she was four. She used her power to kill two brats who had bullied her brother.
By the time she realized what she'd done was wrong, it was too late. She couldn't write the two boys' names in the notebook, so she couldn't bring them back to life.
Though she was very young, she was far too clever to tell anyone what had happened. She was afraid people would call her a bad person. She was even afraid her brother, who had the same power, would find out.
That year, one of the boys' mothers went mad. The other refused to give up, traveling from place to place with her husband in search of the person who had killed their son.
Guilt weighed endlessly on Liang's young heart, causing her tremendous pain. She developed depression at just five years old. When she learned the saying "a life for a life," she chose to kill herself.
She went back one year into the past. Then she resolved to live well and never use her power again.
Twelve years later, she was killed by a murderer named Yoshikage Kira...
After finally resolving the events in Morioh, she decided to study abroad in Italy. In this place, rich with art, she found love...
A. The pairing isn't decided yet. Whoever's a good fit, goes. The story mainly focuses on Parts 4 and 5.
B. I write for love, so updates are whenever I can manage.
C. Some people may think I've given the female lead too much of a golden finger. In fact, according to my outline, she barely uses her Stand. Even at crucial moments, she only uses abilities 2 and 3. Ability 1 is really just a gimmick, and it means this story won't be angsty or have anyone die.
D. This isn't a crossover with Death Note, though it does use its core premise. You don't need to have read Death Note to follow along. I've changed some of the notebook's rules, so please don't attack me, fans.
E. As a fan of both series, I'm writing this for fun and enthusiastically starting a new project. I'll begin posting once I have twenty thousand words saved up.
Theme: Show the positive side of human nature through the female lead's choices
