A sharp-tongued, elegant, ill-omened Eastern-blooded grand wizard gong × a mixed-blood thief from a family of thieves, a heart-stealing rogue shou
Heng Qi Weizite × Ning Xi
Ning Xi was mixed-race. On his twenty-third birthday, he received an inheritance from faraway Europe.
It was a dismally pathetic inheritance: just one battered old book, as if someone were tossing a pauper a coin to make him go away.
The book wouldn’t open, so Ning Xi casually shoved it to the bottom of a trunk.
But a few days later, one group after another came knocking, threatening to kill him and demanding the book by name.
Ning Xi: What could I do? My life matters more, of course. Take the book and leave me alive.
The wizard had traveled thousands of miles across the entire Eurasian continent to find the book, only to arrive too late. He pressed his staff against Ning Xi’s throat. “Death or death. Pick one.”
Ning Xi: I want to live.
The Seventh Chapter Oracle: Granted.
He lived, and fell into the book.
[Seven Worlds]
Inspired by the Western seven deadly sins.
1v1, happy ending, sweet
The wizard’s skills and historical setting are made up as I go, so please don’t take them too seriously.
I welcome all feedback and suggestions from readers about the prose and logic. Feel free to discuss in the comments.
