Liang Ye seems to be a demon who has lived even longer than Muzan Kibutsuji, yet he has been imprisoned in a pitch-black, freezing cavern inside an ice coffin. With no memories of human life, he breaks free, collapses from hunger, and is found by Tanjiro Kamado, who takes him home.
"I can tell Liang Ye is a demon, but his presence is different from that of other demons. I think that even if he's a demon, he's a kind one," says Tanjuro Kamado.
