Tian Tian is a good girl in the eyes of her parents and teachers. Though well-behaved, she has a rebellious little secret: during winter break in her first year of high school, she confessed to her crush. As expected, he turned her down and mocked her mercilessly, leaving her to flee in humiliation.
She agonized over it for the whole New Year holiday, wondering how she would face him when school started. But he never showed up. After asking his cousin, she learned he had transferred, and her anxious heart finally settled.
But who can tell her why, a year later, he has transferred back and is clinging to her like glue, making her eyes ache and her heart ache?
From kindergarten through high school, Ban Wo held his place as the school tough guy through his looks and his fists. His puppy-dog eyes made him seem harmless, but when he got serious, he could make you question your entire life.
The rebellious boy deeply regretted rejecting the sweet girl he had long liked on the night he learned his parents were divorcing, using some stupid idea of love as his excuse to lash out.
He had planned to apologize and hold her hand once school started, but before the new term came, his mother told him he was transferring.
During his second year of high school, he changed his rebellious ways in an unfamiliar city, studying late into the night and using his grades to bargain with his mother for a chance to return to Binhai.
But when he finally got back and saw his sweet girl, he discovered that her gaze held no feeling for him at all.

[Blurb]
Jiang Zhao is an orphan. Thanks to her late father, a great general who served the nation, she received the title of county princess. Among the noble ladies of the court, her status is second only to the princesses.
But that still cannot change the fact that she is an orphan, nor can it change the fate she has no control over.
She sees things clearly and lives as she pleases, waiting for the day she can serve her country as a chess piece.
At last, when she turns sixteen, she receives word that she will be sent to marry a foreign ruler in the princess's place.
The night before the imperial edict arrives, Jiang Ning sits in the courtyard, drinking alone beneath the moon. She murmurs, "Father, I don't want to marry."
But the next day, she learns from a friend that the censor next door has objected to the imperial marriage edict.
Shen Yuan once came first in all three imperial examinations. Talented and handsome, as fresh as the breeze and bright as the moon, he was appointed a fifth-rank censor by the emperor, an exception to the rules.
Everyone thought he would use his brush to bring blessings to the people. But in less than two years, Shen Yuan had 'forgotten' his original ambition and become far too carefree.
He knew most of his colleagues said he neglected his duties, but no matter what they said, Shen Yuan paid them no mind.
Then one morning, he rushed into the Hall of Purple Radiance like a madman and snatched the already-approved marriage edict from the emperor's hands.
Shen Yuan lay on the ground and smudged his signature on the edict into an inkblot. Then he let out a long breath and bowed.
"Your Majesty, I do not approve of this marriage."
Little scene:
That evening, after hearing the news, Jiang Zhao climbed a wooden ladder and peered over the wall at Shen Yuan. "Why did you object to the edict? Aren't you afraid of losing your post?"
At that moment, Shen Yuan gazed at her with damp eyes and a smile on his lips, thinking, So this is how radiant Ning was at fifteen.
But Jiang Zhao was thinking, Crying and laughing at once. Censor Shen really has gone mad.
