Becoming an Idol's Roommate

Romance / Mutual secret crushes / Superstar x ordinary person

[1] Ruan Xi has had a favorite idol for a long time: Ji Xiuping.

She buys every one of his albums and collects all his merchandise. On a sweltering summer night, she once sat in a stadium holding a fan banner, shouting along with the other fangirls, "Oppa, we'll love you forever!"

When Ruan Xi learns from his studio's statement that Ji Xiuping has slightly damaged vocal cords and needs to take time off to recuperate, she feels down for a long time.

Maybe they really are connected by heart. A week later, Ruan Xi temporarily loses her sight.

[2] The Ruan and Ji families have been close for generations, but for various reasons, the two people whose marriage was arranged by their families have never met. When Ruan Xi returns from the hospital in a wheelchair, wearing sunglasses, her mother tells her that the families have arranged for her to live with Young Master Ji.

The first day living together.

Ruan Xi: "I'm worse off than you. I'm temporarily blind, and I have no plans to date or get married. So can we just be roommates?"

"..."

In the end, Ji Xiuping writes "Okay" on her palm with his finger.

And so, the two of them live together as the only man and woman in the house. Their life is uneventful, until the day Ruan Xi regains her sight and opens the wrong bedroom door.

In the sunlight, a man has taken off his shirt, revealing an almost perfect V-line.

He turns his head, his voice husky. "Peeking at me while I change, hmm?"

Their eyes meet, and Ruan Xi is stunned.
