[Guide who offers himself to a hound, top X lost dark sentinel, bottom]
[====Blurb====]
Jin Huai'an longs to undergo his secondary gender differentiation and grow into an S-rank top sentinel like his idol, Wu Shi.
Sentinels have heightened senses and are prone to losing control. They can transform into beast forms and fight mutated creatures in close-quarters combat, making them the Federation's most important fighting force.
But fate had other plans. Jin Huai'an differentiated as a guide and manifested an exceptionally "brave and ferocious" spirit companion.
A chestnut munia with rainbow-colored feathers, a round belly, and a tail held high, perched on his head with a crooked tilt to its tiny skull. "Chirp, chirp."
Guides have sensitive mental powers that let them sense sentinels' emotions and enter their mental domains to soothe and regulate them, preventing them from going berserk and falling into depravity.
Guides are rare and precious, but cannot fight on the front lines. Jin Huai'an refuses to accept that.
He offers himself to a hound, healing and cherishing a lost, fallen dark sentinel, and awakening a soft, pure human soul from the bloodthirsty savagery of a beast.
He tends its wounds and nurses it back to health, shares its senses, clears its mental landscape, merges their mental domains, bonds through pheromone marking, and stays by its side through life and death.
The vicious hound Wu Shi gladly fights shoulder to shoulder with him, becoming Jin Huai'an's sword, spear, and shield. Under his guidance, Wu Shi tears out the throats of the alien creatures and crushes their bones to dust.
Country and hound, duty and love.
#After taming a dark sentinel and turning him into a puppy, my unbelievably powerful idol became my darling baby wife!#
[====Reader's Guide and Content Warnings====]
1. Guide top, sentinel bottom. The bottom is eight years younger than the top. Bottom is 192 cm, top is 183 cm. One-on-one, happy ending, no children, romance-focused.
3. The top admires and looks up to the bottom, is devoted to him, and saves and heals him. The bottom is a super possessive, completely smitten, jealous, crazy, violent, clingy double-standard puppy who is the strongest fighter around.
5. The guide-sentinel setting is heavily simplified and includes lots of original worldbuilding. Sentinels have beast forms and mental landscapes, guides have spirit companions, and the story adds pheromones.
