The Princess Has Turned Dark

Princess Langhua was born into a life of privilege. She had the Emperor and Empress's love and the protection of her own brother, the Crown Prince. Her life went smoothly until she came of age, when a problem arose with her marriage. The reason was that Princess Langhua thought the consort chosen by the Emperor and Empress was unattractive. In hopes of pleasing her, her subordinates presented her with a handsome young gentleman. Princess Langhua was instantly dazzled by him and doted on him in every way. She went to great lengths to make him smile. No one ever imagined that the handsome young gentleman was the son of an enemy state's chancellor, who had infiltrated Southern Liang to steal classified intelligence. When the two nations went to war, Southern Liang suffered devastating losses. Princess Langhua fell out of favor as a result and was sent to guard the imperial mausoleum for three years. But Southern Liang's troubles did not end there. The imperial family became embroiled in a succession struggle, and several princes, including the Crown Prince, were killed or maimed. It was under these circumstances that Princess Langhua ascended the throne. Five years later, Langhua saw Rong Ji again in prison. Seated in a cushioned chair, she watched as he was forced to kneel before her. Langhua sneered and used the toe of her ornate embroidered shoe to lift his perfect chin. “Would you dare use me again?” A little scene: A servant reported, “Young Master, Princess Langhua has been sent to guard the imperial mausoleum for three years.” Rong Ji's heart trembled. His long lashes lowered, and his voice remained as cool as ever. “Is she still refusing to admit her mistake?” “She is. She's already ascended the throne, and rumors say her army will reach our borders soon.” The blurb was screenshotted on February 10, 2020. The author's Weibo post is proof.
