The Beautiful Older Sister Won't Speak (Transmigrated into a Book)

Coming soon: The Female Lead Is the Demon Who Will Destroy the World [Quick Transmigration]. Please add it to your list.

Shen Xin transmigrates into a book.

She ends up in a melodramatic romance novel as the housekeeper's daughter, a vain woman who will do anything to get close to the male lead, only to be brutally killed in the end.

System: "As long as you follow the plot and successfully get yourself killed, you can return to your own world!"

Shen Xin breathes a sigh of relief and dutifully follows the plot, until she realizes the female lead looks exactly like the pretty older sister she's secretly in love with...

?!

...(°ο°)

After that, when she falls into the male lead's arms, Shen Xin "accidentally" breaks his leg;

When she cooks for him, Shen Xin "accidentally" uses an ingredient he's allergic to;

When she lies in the male lead's bed to "seduce" him, Shen Xin "accidentally" wears a down jacket, three sweaters, padded pants, synthetic long underwear that crackles with static, and cotton socks...

When it comes to the frail female lead, Shen Xin can't use brute force, so she has to resort to other tactics:

"Sis, don't go on that outing. I've got a fever. Stay with me!"

"Sis, let's go to a movie. I'm not scared of horror movies at all."

"Sis, I... I'm afraid of the dark. I... I want to sleep with you!"

Shen Xin goes to great lengths to block the treacherous road to the male and female leads falling in love.

"Sis, I love you!"

Then one day, desperate to stop the tragic romance plot and having run out of ideas, Shen Xin looks at the beautiful, fragile older sister and decides to throw caution to the wind. Her heart breaking, she blurts out, "I love you so much, so please don't fall for that jerk, okay?"

The male lead will get involved with several women and even find a replacement...

"All right," comes a soft voice from in front of her. The female lead, Qiao Rou, has eyes that sparkle like stars. "Shen Xin, you said it."

?! (⊙x⊙;)

Wasn't the female lead supposed to be mute?

Every night, Qiao Rou inexplicably finds herself in an incredibly realistic dream.

In the dream, she's the gentle, sickly daughter of a fallen merchant family, unable to speak.

The System tells her that she must fall in love with a man named Wei Ming to escape the dream.

Qiao Rou plays along with the System in the dream, while constantly searching for the truth about it in the waking world.

Just as she's about to destroy the bizarre dream once and for all, her neighbor's younger sister, the person she holds dearest, appears in the dream. A month ago, the girl became a person in a vegetative state after an accident.

That night, Shen Xin wears Qiao Rou's clothes and cautiously approaches her, gazing at her face in excitement.

Qiao Rou lowers her eyes and pretends to sleep. Her cheeks burn, her nails dig into the back of the chair, and she can barely control her trembling body...

Shh! I've got you!

A little scene:

The nervous servants whisper, "Miss Qiao's been awfully quiet lately. Is she thinking up some new way to torment us?"

"No! She's got a new toy these days. I've walked past her room several nights and heard Shen Xin crying, 'Sis, please let me go!' Tsk, poor thing..."

"Ah! Poor Shen Xin!"

Mutual pining, one-on-one romance. Reader comments are open.

Theme: Stay resolute. True love can overcome any scheme or trick.
