Becoming a Billionaire by Making Terrible Movies

[Comments have been closed because the entertainment industry content attracted a flood of negative comments from haters] [Movies · Making Money · Tycoon · Feel-Good Story] Gu Bai got a Bad Movie System. As long as he could make a bad movie, the money it lost would automatically be converted into funds and deposited into his account. Gu Bai slapped his thigh in excitement. “How hard can it be to make a bad movie? Every year, there are so many bad films lined up to hit theaters.” Gu Bai rarely watched movies, but immediately got to work. Fresh-faced heartthrobs were all the rage, right? Then he would refuse to hire any popular stars and instead recruit older, washed-up actors. He would also steer clear of every popular genre. Yes, he would make a period political drama and have the characters scheme against each other for an hour and a half, leaving the audience dizzy. They would be sure to come out cursing that the movie wasn't worth the price of admission. As for the investment, he would use every last bit of the System's starting funds. The more he invested, the more he would lose, after all. And the longer the filming took, the better. That way, he would spend even more money. Over half a year later, the movie premiered. Gu Bai excitedly opened Weibo, ready to welcome the haters. But then... Netizen A: That was incredible! Every single actor was a veteran, and their eyes were full of emotion! Netizen B: My parents said some of their favorite stars were in it, so they dragged me along. I thought it would be boring, but once I started watching, I couldn't stop. The plot had so many twists and turns! They really schemed against each other from beginning to end. Even after they died, they still found ways to sabotage each other. Amazing! The screenwriter practically made them fight for the entire two-hour movie. It was so satisfying. I have to see it again, and again, and bring my friends! A film critic: A masterpiece and a credit to Chinese cinema. The cast, costumes, makeup, sets, and writing are all top-notch. When the Grand Secretary stood alone before the Meridian Gate at noon, snowflakes drifting down all around him, the sense of desolation brought me to tears. A newspaper: Without a doubt, The Realm and Its People is the year's most unmissable film. Gu Bai: ???? Gu Bai: Wait, what the heck is this? * Since that didn't work, he decided to review what had gone right and try to fail next time. Instead, Gu Bai went on to make hit sci-fi, horror, and romance movies... And somehow, he became the richest man in the world by making bad movies. * 1. A heads-up: The author considers food an important pleasure for the wealthy, so there will be food descriptions every few chapters. * Next up: the apocalypse has arrived, the world has changed, and zombies are everywhere. The good news: He awakened a sign-in System. As long as he completes his daily sign-in task, he can grow stronger or obtain supplies. The bad news: The tasks require him to obey the laws and regulations of wherever he is. When crossing the street, you must use the crosswalk. You must not spit anywhere, and you must not spit blood either! Points deducted! You must obey traffic lights. See that old lady? You have to help her cross the street. Lu Yao: “What the hell, how am I supposed to tell that zombie granny is an old lady? Her teeth look better than mine!” Ten minutes later, Lu Yao, utterly numb, dragged the zombie across the road, trussed up like a dumpling. Well, the sign-in reward was just too damn sweet. Passing survivor A: What is that... Is it this city's terrifying BOSS? Survivor B: It looks like a human... Survivor C: If it's human, that's even scarier! Aaaah, it's looking this way! Run! Lu Yao turned around and shouted at them, “Don't run! Since you're here, come in and have a cup of tea!” He still hadn't completed his monthly task of inviting friends over to his house! . Goofy Comedy · Apocalypse · Survival Theme: Only through hard work can we protect the things we love.
