Am I a Prophet?

Have you ever wondered if every sentence you say, every choice you make, every direction you take, every option at a crossroads, and every flight of fancy you come up with might be a choice your subconscious makes instinctively based on memories of dreams about the future that you later forgot?

Yu Yanjia was just an ordinary online writer who kept her family afloat with a little writing talent. She made a living as a nobody on the Green River website, a tiny, insignificant author whose writing was so effective at putting people to sleep that readers would get drowsy while reading it, making her a godsend for insomniacs... and so on.

But one day, when a severe cold wave struck most of the country, leaving the majority of the population struggling against freezing temperatures and snowdrifts as pipelines and power lines were damaged by the extreme cold, she suddenly became a trending topic, hailed as a prophet.

From then on, all her stories were massively subscribed to. No one paid attention to the plot anymore; everyone was searching for prophecies.

In every new story she published, people from every country and region could find prophecies that seemed to apply to their own lives.

Even when she got a sudden whim to build a villa and farm in the desert so she could enjoy its romantic atmosphere, countless readers asked what the choice meant and what kind of future it foretold. Would people only be able to live in deserts in the future?

Many wealthy families and politicians even vied to become her neighbors in the desert she had leased...

Yu Yanjia: I don't know. I didn't do it. It wasn't me...

P.S. This story is set on an alternate, fictional Earth in the year 3020. Nothing in the plot is related to reality.

Seeking advance readers: New story blurb: In every novel, movie, or other story, there's always a fat woman or a chubby middle-aged lady who does something ignorant, stupid, and selfish, bringing about her own downfall. After she gets what she deserves, someone else comments, "What a piece of work that woman was."

Feng Xingshou was among the first people chosen for road survival. Since she couldn't drive at all, she nearly wrecked her car and sent herself to the afterlife trying to drive it. Then she went hungry and waited around for exactly two days, twelve hours, and forty-four minutes before the resource-gathering instance finally opened.

The fact that she could enter the instance without driving gave her a glimmer of hope. Once inside, she shamelessly gathered every kind of resource she could find, but she still became cannon fodder while trying to escape the racecourse, because she couldn't drive.

It wasn't until she was dying and heard what the others were saying that she realized that, if this were a road survival novel, she would be the idiotic, selfish piece-of-work character destined to be cannon fodder.

Feng Xingshou had just one thing to say: ...Sending someone who can't drive into a road survival game? Is that something a decent person would do?

Fortunately, she was born with the ability to turn back time after death. When she returned to three minutes before her death, the first thing Feng Xingshou did was collect the guy in the instance who could drive and repair cars, treating him like another resource.

Hagiwara Kenji, the racing legend of Mount Akina, bundled up and whisked onto the track one second before an explosion: Excuse me, ma'am, who are you? Kidnapping is illegal, and kidnapping a civil servant makes it even worse. My handcuffs are practically itching to come out.

Matsuda Jinpei, who had waited three years before getting bundled away too: Heh... Could you at least give me three minutes to defuse a bomb first? Link:
