It takes place at the Royal Mixer of the Underworld.

Hello, ladies!
After half a year of delays, the story has finally reached its ending, a year after the old version was published.
A cause for celebration indeed!
As for locking the chapters, I spent a few days thinking it over and finally came up with a compromise that should work for everyone:
The "two-stage chapter lock" (What kind of nonsense is that...)
Stage One:
The ending goes up today (8/8), and the story will be locked on the evening of 8/10. Chapters from Chapter 20 onward, inclusive, are expected to be locked.
Stage Two:
The entire story will be unlocked again one month later (9/7). After 9/10, chapters from Chapter 6 onward, inclusive, will be locked.
(The contract stipulates that no more than a quarter of the work may be publicly available.)
This is also a compromise to thank the ladies who came over from JJ's official recommendation list.
After all, the official recommendation list only came out recently, and getting featured there is such a rare opportunity!
I'm not keeping the ending up indefinitely because I'm afraid some unscrupulous fiction sites will repost the entire story without permission.
That would put me in breach of contract... (Oh no, I don't want to breach my contract before the book is even published!)
This may only deter the honorable and not the dishonorable, but this story isn't some wildly popular novel with tens of millions of clicks.
Surely no plagiarists are lurking, ready to pounce at any moment?
Please go easy on me!
The extra chapter is about what happens after the two of them "die and come back," since the series is called "Royal Mixer of the Underworld," after all.
It may be a while before I update, though, because once school starts I'll be busy writing my graduation thesis.
