A story about monsters, an ensemble adventure. Present-day characters travel to the past, and people from the past travel to the present.

Liang Bucui was diagnosed with stomach cancer at forty-eight and died after ten years of suffering.
Death was his release, because his partner was a monster who would never grow old.
He wasted away, suffering the torment of aging and illness; his partner remained in his prime, unchanged from the day they first met, even ten years later.
Crueler than time itself were the uncontrollable jealousy, resentment, and regret brought on by their stark contrast.

When Liang Bucui opened his eyes again, he had been reborn at the age of twenty.
At the time, he was a university student at a veterinary school, traveling through time with the Ten Directions Mirror, an ancient family heirloom. In the past, he became a disciple assigned to sweep the sect's grounds. His cultivation was back to zero, his stamina was pitiful, and he was as helpless as a little white onion anyone could pluck!
This was an era when humanity was in decline. The desolate wilderness, battlefield ruins, and eerie capital were all teeming with vengeful spirits and evil monsters.
In his previous life, the young people overcame hardships and dangers to save a crumbling world. During their adventures, Liang Bucui and a mirror spirit fell in love.
But after being reborn and living through such a tragic ending, Liang Bucui did not want to repeat the past:
"How could a great monster who has always lorded over everyone let a decrepit old man make him bow his head?"
In this life, Liang Bucui only wanted to snuff out the sparks of love, enjoy the journey, and leave satisfied.
Yet, as a Buddhist verse says: One thought can stir the gods and demons of the Ten Directions.
Theme: Across time and space, only truth and true affection endure
