My next novel will be The Substitute Supporting Female Lead Takes the Spoiled Brat Route. Your collections mean a lot to me, lovely readers. Please add it to your pre-reading list! Thank you so much!
Ruan Tang transmigrates into a book as a cannon-fodder supporting female character who shares her name. Her stepmother spoiled her into ruin from childhood. She can do nothing but spend money, and her brash, domineering personality has earned her the title of the 21st century's stupidest walking ATM.
As a model tool character in the novel, the original Ruan Tang pursues the male lead, an idol with a perpetually blank face and no acting skills. She spends a fortune setting up an agency and a film company to promote him alone, and even launches a string of side businesses for him, including hot pot restaurants, beauty salons, and trendy clothing stores.
The male lead gets the profits, while the original Ruan Tang shoulders the losses.
So when her real-estate tycoon father runs short of cash, he and Ruan Tang can only stare helplessly at each other. Father and daughter are both broke, while her stepmother and stepsister flee with the last of the money in the safe.
The original Ruan Tang and her father climb onto a rooftop, then whoosh, turn into a parabolic arc in the novel and bring their story to an end.
Looking at the eight zeroes in her bank account, Ruan Tang thinks: Wouldn't it be better to put this money in the bank and collect interest, or buy property and become a landlady?
Why promote the male lead? Why play at raising him? Ruan Tang wants no damn romance. All she wants now is to make money and become a wealthy woman in her own right!

On set--
To make the male lead famous, the original Ruan Tang spent a fortune commissioning a script tailor-made for him, along with top-quality costumes and production design, a martial arts instructor, and a barrage of trending-topic promotions.
And then...
It flopped spectacularly. The original Ruan Tang took a huge loss, and one zero vanished from her bank balance!
Ruan Tang is heartbroken. The male lead may be handsome, but he can't pull off historical costumes. On top of that, he clings to his idol image and refuses to make big facial expressions. His acting is a disaster, and the drama, which countless people poured their blood, sweat, and sleepless nights into, sinks straight to the bottom.
You've really outdone yourself. One word: incredible.
How could Ruan Tang, who had finally become a little rich lady, let this happen? So she points with her little hand--
Yes, you, the extra playing a beggar with no lines. You look pretty handsome. You can play the male lead.
Later, the drama becomes the year's biggest hit, sweeping up awards. Ruan Tang makes a fortune from it and even saves her father's real-estate business in the process.
Everyone praises Ruan Tang for her keen eye. After all, the drama's male lead used to be just an extra, a complete nobody in the entertainment industry.
Whenever that happens, Ruan Tang feels a little guilty. After all, she only chose him because she figured an extra would be cheaper than the male lead in the original novel!
Preview of The Substitute Supporting Female Lead Takes the Spoiled Brat Route:
When Zhao Fuzhi wakes up, she discovers she's become the stand-in for the male lead and a whole group of male supporting characters' unattainable dream girl. That dream girl is her good friend, Qin Yao.
After Qin Yao's family went bankrupt in middle school, her parents ran off, and Zhao Fuzhi's parents took her in.
The original Zhao Fuzhi is sweet and sensible. Even knowing she's just a substitute, she remains devoted without complaint.
She cooks for the male lead and knits him a scarf when the weather turns cold, only to be met with his disgust. "Zhao Fuzhi, how is your spineless, submissive personality anything like Yaoyao?"
Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Zhao Fuzhi can't play the obedient little wife. Instead, she becomes a spoiled brat who can bring the world crashing down.
She takes to her new role like a duck to water, and the male lead and his friends all fall for her beneath the filter of their idealized substitute dream girl.
At the dead of night, she makes her fiance, the male lead, run all over half the city to buy her piping-hot late-night snacks. He's nearly out of breath when he returns and hands her the bag with an ingratiating smile.
Zhao Fuzhi doesn't take it. She pushes it away. "Oh, it's a little cold. It doesn't taste right anymore."
Her fiance wants to lose his temper, but Zhao Fuzhi's gaze darkens, and her eyes fill with tears as if she's about to cry.
Seeing the exact same expression as his dream girl, her fiance's heart softens. "I'll go buy you another one!"
In the conference room, the CEO-type male supporting character's phone keeps ringing. He answers helplessly. "Zhizhi, I'm in a meeting. I'll call you later."
Looking at her freshly done manicure, Zhao Fuzhi says casually, "It's fine, you do your thing. I'll go shopping with someone else. You don't have to come with me anymore."
The CEO-type male supporting character immediately abandons everyone in the conference room and rushes to Zhao Fuzhi's side, happily serving as her human ATM.
Zhao Fuzhi points at the luxury goods. "This one, that one, and this one I don't want. Wrap up everything else for me."
The sickly male supporting character sits on his hospital bed, carefully peeling an apple so he can feed it to Zhao Fuzhi.
Zhao Fuzhi waves him off with a look of disgust. "Ugh, you smell too strongly of disinfectant. Could this apple be poisoned?"
The sickly male supporting character freezes, then immediately arranges a consultation with experts from across the country to operate on him.
His assistant can talk until he's hoarse, insisting his health isn't strong enough for surgery, but he won't change his mind. He looks tenderly at Zhao Fuzhi. "Zhizhi, after this, I won't have that strange smell anymore."
Zhao Fuzhi imitates Qin Yao's expression, her eyes full of tenderness, and smiles radiantly at the sickly male supporting character. "You're so good to me."
What she's really thinking is: You absolute idiot. In the original story, you drained my blood every month to keep yourself alive!
When Qin Yao returns home after finishing her studies, she wants to fish a rich and devoted man out of her pond, but is shocked to discover that her fish are gone.
Zhao Fuzhi sneers. Forget the fish, I'll drain all the water too!
[Every man is a perfect gentleman and a devoted backup boyfriend. Not one survives, and they all die alone. :)]
P.S. The female lead's official love interest is not among the men listed above.
Theme: The heroine keeps working hard despite adversity.
The supporting characters are all crazy. If I don't become an actor, I will have no money. I will have to be a waiter and be homeless. Ah Wuyuzi
No contract? Won't the original male lead demand liquidated damages? Spread the flowers, spread the flowers, spread the flowers. . . Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers Spread the flowers
Just hire a caregiver, right? Do you still need the boss to accompany you personally?
Hahahahaha, I think the male protagonist is Tan. With this kind of background, the male protagonist is the standard, the domineering CEO Ang.
The suffocating magic is okay, meow meow meow hahahahahaha
The contract has been signed, so the liquidated damages should be very expensive, right?
Wouldn't it be better to take a taxi to the hospital?
Why don't you find a caregiver?
The finale is the last person to appear. The author must have done it backwards.
Get your money back. Frontline money is such a waste.
