A Retired Palace Maid's Path to Becoming a First-Rank Lady

Please add my upcoming stories "Transmigrating to the Sixties" and "The Seventies: The Cannon-Fodder Educated Youth" to your reading list. Check my author page for the blurbs! Story Blurb: Shen Wanqiu transmigrates into the body of a low-ranking palace maid, but that's not even the worst of it. The dynasty is on the verge of collapse, so she can't even follow the usual palace intrigue playbook. She can't cling to the last emperor, either. Luckily, she has a portable pocket dimension, giving her a way to survive within the palace walls. Fortunately, the new dynasty brings a new beginning, and she is finally released from the palace. She expects to enjoy a free and peaceful life of her own, but the court has decreed that everyone must marry once they turn sixteen. She doesn't want to be randomly paired off with someone, so after plenty of careful consideration, she chooses a young scholar. The young scholar is ambitious and capable, and before she knows it, he's earned her a first-rank imperial decree of honor. Reader's Guide: The author is a doting mom and won't put the heroine through angst. Things are a little tough for the heroine at first, but they'll gradually get better. My new story, "Transmigrating to the Sixties", is now underway. Please support it! Here's the blurb: A researcher is caught in an explosion while conducting an experiment and gets blasted into the body of a poor little girl who starved to death in the 1960s. It couldn't get any worse. Shen Qingxue inwardly cries out: How am I supposed to survive in an era with so little food and clothing? Luckily, Heaven grants her a pocket dimension, letting her live comfortably in this era of material scarcity. When most people are thin and sallow, this little orphan girl with smooth, healthy skin stands out. By chance, she meets a soldier who is especially suspicious of her. But why does the soldier who was so suspicious of her start looking at her differently? Shen Qingxue shakes her head. She should get back to her research. She must be imagining things. Soldier: "You're not imagining things. I want to marry you." Shen Qingxue: "But weren't you suspicious of me?" The soldier thinks his foot hurts. He brought this rock down on himself... Theme: When you're poor, change; when you change, you find a way forward; when you find a way forward, you can endure. Let a flower of self-reliance bloom in adversity.
