Everyone knows that Jing Xi, lord of the Wheel of Rebirth, and Yu Du, ruler of Hell, are sworn enemies!
Back when Yu Du was getting married, a grand wedding procession stretched for ten li, awaiting the bride's arrival. But Jing Xi, drunk and talking nonsense, spread the "delightful story" that a certain man was impotent.
That very night, the bride-to-be cut up her wedding dress, returned the betrothal gifts, and ran away.
The ruler of Hell became the biggest laughingstock in the entire underworld.
What goes around comes around. After another drunken mishap, Jing Xi accidentally let an utterly wicked ghost escape. She was demoted and assigned to Yu Du, where she was tasked with clearing away the lingering obsessions of fierce ghosts who could not accept their deaths or let go of unfulfilled desires.
Jing Xi waves her sleeve: she keeps the ghosts she likes and kills the ones she doesn't, one slash per little ghost!
After all her wreaking havoc, the precariously maintained Realm of Bipo... collapses.
In front of the Eighteen Levels of Hell, Yu Du smiles elegantly. "Take a tour through Hell, or find out whether I'm really impotent. Which do you choose?"
Jing Xi: "Is there a third option?"

Rumor has it in the underworld that Yu Du, ruler of Hell, is handsome as jade and a perfect gentleman, the ideal husband.
As the only person from the Wheel of Rebirth who has seen Yu Du's true face, Jing Xi secretly badmouths him behind his back: He's obviously devious, vindictive, and a complete scoundrel!
That night, Jing Xi is forced to make up for the rumor with her body.
