After finishing her last case, Zhou Lai decides to transfer from City B back home. She turns down the police chief's offer and becomes a regular officer, thinking she can finally enjoy a peaceful life, just dealing with petty thieves and street vendors. But in less than three days, trouble finds her.
The trouble in question is He Songyang, the gang leader nobody in City A dares to cross, from the streets to the alleyways. The rumor is that he's so arrogant even the police can't do a thing about him.
Then one day, the new police beauty, Officer Zhou Lai, cuffs him and takes him to the station. In front of everyone, she drops a cutting remark: “Being handsome won't get you anywhere. We serve the people, and we don't make decisions based on looks.”
